Metal welding

Metal welding is a technique that seamlessly joins metal workpieces: components, structures. The company Prekutas provides various types of metal welding services. We currently offer semi- automatic metal welding (MIG/MAG), TIG welding, MMA welding and laser welding.

We use highly advanced welding equipment, which allows us to carry out the work accurately, quickly and to a high standard.

METAL WELDING

What metals do we weld?

We can weld many types of metals: ferrous steel, stainless steel, aluminium and alloys of these metals.

Which metal welding method to choose?

There is no single universal answer. The specific method is selected individually, according to the metal structure, its intended use and the customer’s needs. Let’s discuss the main metal welding techniques used:

MIG/MAG welding (semi-automatic)

This is probably the most popular welding method used in the industry. The work involves the use of certain gases. This can be MIG, an inert shielding gas that does not react with the melted metal, or MAG, an active shielding gas, which optimises the welding process.

What is MIG/MAG welding suitable for?

It is a semi-automatic metal welding process that is quite cost-effective. It is best suited for large- scale work, large metal parts and structures. This method allows for efficient and fast work. However, if the workpiece requires exceptional quality and precision, it is preferable to choose another method of metal welding.

TIG welding

This is a high-precision and high-quality welding method using a tungsten electrode (TIG) in a protective argon gas environment. Compared to MIG/MAG welding, this method takes longer and is more expensive, but produces a higher quality result.

What is TIG welding suitable for?

We recommend this technique when you need to weld complex metal structures that require a high level of care (such as pipes, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, thin-walled tubes, sheets, etc.).

Laser welding

One of the most advanced welding technologies. Using a powerful laser beam, the contact area of the metal workpiece is melted and various parts and structures are joined.

What is laser welding suitable for?

Due to the versatility of the technique, laser welding is suitable for virtually any metal component of any thickness, size, shape and purpose of use. This welding technique is used in a wide range of industries: medical, furniture manufacturing, electronics, jewellery and more.

MMA welding

This is a versatile and oldest method of metal welding that can be used to weld many metal structures. The main disadvantage of MMA welding is that the process takes time, requires specific skills and experience.

What is MMA welding suitable for?

This method is suitable for large metal structures and individual thicker sections. It is also suitable for metal welding work in construction sites due to the small size of the equipment.

However, although it is a practical and relatively cheap welding method, it is not suitable for thin structures that require great care and precision.

Metal welding: high quality and on-time performance

The company Prekutas MB employs experienced, tenured specialists and uses advanced technologies. Thanks to these advantages, all types of metal welding work are carried out quickly and to a high standard: from single, small parts to large, industrial constructions. We love challenges, which is why we successfully complete even the most ambitious projects.

If you are not sure which welding method to choose, come and consult us. We will advise you, look into your situation and carry out high-quality welding work. We guarantee: the results will exceed your expectations!
